Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have never been this excited for Christmas. Of course my excitement is easily understood. My wife and I welcomed our first kid, Brady, into the world in April. We have been excited for many things he has done or is doing, but my excitement for his first Christmas is unmatched. Maybe this year won’t be great because he can’t remember a thing, but having him be a part of our family on this great day, will be something I never forget!! Of course with an addition, becomes new traditions. We are still trying to figure out what we will do, but I would love to hear about some of your traditions. Just a reminder to all that use an electronic cover pump to bring it in when we get our first freeze or snow of the year. Many people leave them out all year and forget to bring it in. Take the extra time and you could be saving yourself some money by storing it away until the weather breaks. Also, if you are in need of a cover pump, we have a great selection to choose from.

Recently I was at a grill out at my father-in-laws, and I noticed all the kids were in the pool, but they weren’t playing anything. Maybe it was because they didn’t bring anything with them or nothing was at the house. Regardless, they should have something to play with like a beach ball, dive sticks or water guns. I often get asked about what to do with the winter cover after the pool is opened. My suggestion would be to clean it really good, let it dry and store it in something dry if possible. I have seen people use garbage cans, and that seems to work really well. Whatever you decide, do not leave it outside. It can get wet, dirty and mice can get into it and eat thru the cover. By leaving it outside it will also shorten the life span of the cover. Over the years it will shrink and dry root. So when you are taking off that cover, don’t just throw it off to the side, give it the attention it deserves. – Tim

Sorry But We Do Not Clean Pools
I get lots of people call and think that pool ‘service’ means we vacuum pools and clean out debris. Just to let you know, this is not a service we provide. But if you need motor, filter, or real service work performed, we may be able to help. And I’ll stack my service personnel against anyone in the area. They’re good at their jobs. – Service
I Can’t Reach Service!!!!!!
Our store will get several phone calls throughout the year saying they keep calling but no one is answering. I try my best to be at my desk to take all phone calls, but I may need to help out front, I might be unloading a truck or just on the other line. So leave me a voice mail and I will call you back as soon as I can. If you absolutely have to talk with someone, then call the main line and see if they can help you out. Don’t forget our service hours are M-F 8am-5pm, Saturday 8am-12pm and we are closed Sunday.

Spring Fun
Recently friends of ours had a baby boy and with my wife and I expecting a boy in April, we started thinking about the fun we will have together this spring. Sure we will be busy with the babies, but what better way to wind down with a cold drink of your choice and friends. We will also get to enjoy our new NCI furniture set we purchased last year from Eastgate Pools and Spas. Our friends also have a beautiful Telescope set on their deck that will be in use when we go over there. Of course we will have trips to the zoo, Reds games, UC games, movies and others, but it is always fun to show off your new backyard toys to your friends. Scheduling Your Pool Opening
If you are going to have us open your pool, you might want to consider calling and scheduling well in advance of when you want it opened. We get a pretty good backlog and once we get busy, it could take a couple of weeks for us to get out. Don’t miss out on a single day of good swimming weather. Plan ahead and avoid the delays. –Service
March Madness!!!
Yes, this is my favorite time of the year. Not only do you have the greatest basketball tournament about to happen but the Reds season is just around the corner as well!! Although the NCAA tournament hasn’t been the same without my beloved Bearcats, I still hook up 3 TV’s and watch basketball until I can’t see straight. I also love to sit around and hear people tell me they had the upset on one of the brackets they filled out, but what they don’t tell you is they filled out 10 of them. I also love the “my bracket is done because I have no teams left that I had in the Final Four” and they aren’t even thru the first day yet!! So not only do I get to watch basketball but I get to laugh at my friends too!! By the way, here is my Final Four, Kansas, Syracuse, West Virginia, and Duke. I know you think I am crazy saying this with 4 to 8 inches of snow on the ground, but it’s right around the corner!!
