As the traffic for inground pools is picking up here at the store, I’ve been reminded of one of the common questions that there isn’t always a great answer for. Customers frequently wonder what kind of financing we offer for our pools. The truth is there really hasn’t been any type of in house financing available since GE closed their loan division when the housing market dipped several years ago. With that in mind we have pursued several options through some of our local banks and we would always be happy to put you in touch with one of the loan advisors at these institutions. It is also always a great idea to explore financing options with banks you have worked with in the past, or possibly credit unions. While I wish there were more options out there, the reality is that banks like to see good credit and equity in the current market. When you are considering an inground pool this might help you to be as prepared as you can for getting the ball rolling and getting an installation in a timely fashion.

As the inground pool coordinator for Eastgate Pools, I find myself with more time on my hands at this time of year. And to be honest, the break is nice after a long summer, but a little down-time certainly goes a long way. So how about we help each other out – if you’re dreaming of an inground pool, you can benefit from my availability and help keep me busy too. Even if you prefer not to start the project until next summer, it’s never too early to begin the planning process. For instance, what pool style and size works best in your yard? How can we access the project? What layout coordinates best with your home? Will you need a retaining wall? These are just a few of the many things you should consider, so the more time you allow, the happier you will be with your decision, and my experience and expertise uniquely qualify me to help you balance functionality with esthetics. I can even create a customized three-dimensional rendering to help you visualize your new pool. So why not take advantage of my freer schedule to give your dream pool that personal touch? Contact us today to set up a meeting.

It is still freezing outside but it wont be long until we open the Inground Pool here at the store. I know it may seem early to some but the pool season for Eastgate Pools & Spas starts in the middle of winter and goes until the middle of fall. We may not sell many in the really cold months but to us the fact that summer is never really that far away stays fresh in our minds. All I can tell you is get ready because it wont be long until the hot days are here again and sounds of summer overtake our brains in a audible coup d’etat.

If you’ve spent any time at all in almost any store at all lately, no doubt you’ve also noticed that the holidays are right around the corner, and you’ve started thinking that very special gift for your family. They’ve been extra good this year, and wouldn’t it be great to treat them to a present that not only guarantees a surprise but also extends that holiday togetherness throughout the year and for years to come? Imagine their delight they “unwrap” their new inground pool from Eastgate Pools. And imagine your delight when you realize that you saved thousands by acting before the New Year’s price increase. Happy holidays to all!

I know some of you have just pulled your winter cover off and have now noticed your water level is down low in the pool. Don’t jump to the conclusion that your liner has a hole in it or that you need a new liner. Sometimes the weight from the winter cover can force water out of the pool, or if you have a small hole in the cover you can sometimes pump water out of the pool when draining your cover. The first thing to do is fill it up and see if the water is still leaking out. If it is get your goggles out and go for a swim and put a patch on the hole. This will usually take care of any problem you think you might have but if you feel like you still need a new liner stop in and see us and we can get you squared away.

Here at Eastgate Pools & Spas we have been installing the Legacy Edition by Imperial Pools as our only option for an inground swimming pool since 1981. With over 3000 pools installed and no warranty claims on a pool wall we just don’t see any reason to mess with a good thing. That said we have an increasing number of potential customers that are looking at one-piece fiberglass pools vs. our vinyl-lined pool product. I just thought I would offer a quick insight into why we continue to offer the product we do, and why we have opted to stay out of the fiberglass market.

To put it simply, we don’t offer fiberglass pools because this just isn’t the right part of the country. If you travel to Florida, California, or any other state with a high sand content to the soil you will certainly see more fiberglass than vinyl pools. Well the opposite is true here in the Midwest because the heavy clay content of our soil, and the freeze/thaw climate make it the more appropriate and safer choice. The bottom of our pools have a solid yet porous base, which will allow in the worst conditions for water to “float” the liner. This defense mechanism ensures the pool structure is unharmed. With a fiberglass pool a similar situation would likely result in cracking or heaving of the pool out of the ground. Keep in mind, these are rare occurrences, but that is why we have chosen to stay with a proven commodity for this region. Each of these product options has advantages, but in our neck of the woods we believe in the benefits of the vinyl-lined pool. Over 3000 success stories can’t be wrong.

Hello. My name is Drew Chandler, and I am the Inground Pool Coordinator for Eastgate Pools. When you purchase an inground pool, I will be your primary contact throughout the construction process, which means that you will benefit from both my experience and expertise in pool construction, so anytime you have a question or concern, I am the person who can address it. My primary concern is the structural integrity of your pool, and this quite literally begins with a good foundation. I will therefore meet with you prior to starting your job to review the process, learn your wishes and assess the specific requirements of your yard. Once underway, you will see me frequently on your project and may rely on me to schedule and coordinate all of Eastgate Pools’ crews and materials. Upon completion, I will meet with you to review the operation and maintenance of your new pool, and afterwards should questions arise, I am happy to assist. I understand that an inground pool is one of the largest purchases you are likely to make, and I hope you’ll consider me your partner in the endeavor to make sure it is a successful one.
